The results of Ecofree. Net are totally similar to those obtained on Google™.com. I use the free service called Google™ search Custom Search. Because of this, the results are identical and only the colors are changed.
How is funded Ecofree.net?
Thanks to commissions Google™ to encourage research conducted with its engine. This is insufficient to cover the ~ 20 € / year for the domain name and ~ 85 € / year for the accommodation but it can lighten the note.
Is there evidence that the screens consume less on a black background?
All studies agree on the cathode ray tubes; they consume on average 48% less to display black than white. Regarding LCD screens, the studies are contradictory on the value actually saved, but they all agree to say that consumption is less (between 2% and 15% in all cases).
